I like Sampo however they are somewhat hard for me to find in the smaller sizes that I prefer. I have used the Cabela's Premium ball bearing swivel with fantastic results. I've also used the Cabela's Deluxe ball bearing swivel...let's just say that any low rent barrel swivel could do just as bad of a job twisting your line into a mess. I've never used the SPRO ball bearing swivels but I am pleased with all of their other products.

I think you could do no wrong with Sampo, Cabela's Premium or SPRO Ball Bearing Swivels. I prefer to use the #1 size and Cabela's Premium in a 12pk is about $9. I agree with the comments about not cheaping out on the BB swivel. Twisted line causes too much frustration and wasted time on the water not to mention running SlowDeath with 100ft of line out and finding out a swivel didn't do it's job ruins a fair amount of line.

Good Luck

Spro's in the 50 pack from Cabelas:

I've also had pretty good luck with P-Line swivels when I find them.

Do the SPRO Power Swivels even spin effectively enough for the use of SlowDeath like the original poster is asking about? If so I guess I've been wasting my money on ball bearing type swivels.

locomoto, I use the Spro Power Swivels exclusively now with all of my harness set-ups and have had great success.

Default Swivels

Cabela's swivels - I believe that the Deluxe BB swivels are bronze with chrome plating and split rings, the Premium BB swivels are stainless steel and have welded rings.
