Lund Tyee 1900 or Triton Allure 186

Down to two boats with very different features. Lund Tyee 1900 or Triton Allure 186.

60% fishing Green Bay, 20% fishing Lake Michigan, 10% fishing northern WI lakes for muskie/panfish, 10% cocktail cruises.

Fishing with 1-3 people, cocktail cruises 4-6 people.

Looking for suggestions.

If you spend time on the water when the wind is up then I would go glass. I far prefer the ride of a glass boat when the going gets rough.

Go glass all the way. Green bay can get a nasty chop and even in the size boat you are looking at, glass will ride a lot better.

I know you mentioned the allure, but don't be afraid to look at the Skeeters in the same class. Just a bit deeper boat for Green Bay and Lake MI. Their reentry into the water is better than the allure, but won't have the top end speed.

I can't speak for the Lund as I have no experience in one but I do own a 186 Allure and fish Green Bay and Lake Winnebago primarily. The Allure is a great boat and has never left me feeling unsafe in it. It performs great with a 150 and the jump seats are awesome when extra people are along. The guys at The Boat Doc in Lomira are great with setting the boat up to make sure it performs the way it should and they do a lot of the rigging themselves to make sure everything is perfect. If you haven't been for a ride in one and would like to let me know.

With Triton Moving Prodcution to Trackers Nitro and Tahoe Missouri Plant Id go for the 1900 Tyee, the 1900 is a Killer Boat, Great Ride, Great performance, and Great Resale if ever needed....

The Tracker/Nitro plant has a history of poor fiberglass quality and hulls separating. People have said that the quality has improved but there is still some scepticism.

It seems the newer Nitro boats are well received and haven't heard of any issues. Also, my company moves production to different locations all the time. As long as there is QC, we don't see many issues.
