All my reels are left retrieve... Except my line counter. I actually like it. I like my left retrieve for casting because I like to control my rod with my right hand, but for reeling in 300' I prefer my right.

I'm exactly the same.

I really like the right hand retrieve on my line counter.

Albertabum - I'd suggest trying The Fishin Hole. They're the most likely to have them in stock and have the best price.

It seems they have different sealine models. Some with 3 ball bearing (black and orange in color) and some 5 ball bearing (black and blue in color) when you guys talk about the sg27 which model are you guys referring to? I also see black and gold models but not sure if they are older models

go to fishusa.com and check out the daiwa sealine sg27lc3b reels for 109.99. this is the newer version of the sealine sg reels. but myself for trolling erie for walleye with braid I prefer the sg17lc3b reels.

I bought 4 convector lefties last year,,, out of the 4, two of them are piled up already. I'll spend the money on tekotas and learn how to fish righty.

Just got 4 of these for leadcore, lovin em up. A buddy of mine who is a guide also runs them. I got the 303 for leadcore. For fireline, I still use some Daiwa Accudepths, but I'm usually using more lead than anything. Speakin of this, I do have 4 SeaLine 47s for sale, if that tells you what I think of them compared to the Okumas. I felt I had to work too hard to reel fish in with the SeaLines, and I believe they may have been the reason I lost some big fish earlier this year. The drags are just so touchy. The Okumas are incredibly smooth, just hope they stay that way.

You fishing for sharks? LOL Fifty lb. line is pretty tough stuff. Sounds to me like your fishing trout, ie Steelhead or Lakers and Salmon. No one I know would ever fish walleyes with it! But for the bigger fish you might want a bigger reel. I use the Okuma light med for 10lb line fishing walleyes.

I also troll for muskies with the same gear. I have no issues getting eyes with the 50lb 12lb diam power pro.
