Default Fill up those mid-west gas tanks QUICK!

Refinery down in Chicago area. Gas up 80 cents to $1 overnight around here already. $2.99 to $3.10 in my area.

The whole oil speculation thing just doesn't make sense.

Yeah, but refined gas trading in Chicago is up 80 cents overnight. Already hit the pumps around here.

Oh I know, we got the increase yesterday in southern Ohio. Just pointing out how low a barrel is yet there is always a reason to raise it. Very frustrating.

The part that frustrates me is that it can go up $1 overnight of a hiccup, but if we tripled the worlds oil or gas supply overnight, it would take 2-3 months for the price of gas to drop $1.

Oh crap!! JUST when it was going DOWN - reports of it being under $2.00 in the Mpls-St.Paul area.
Right now $2.34 here......... Yup - time to fill up all my vehicles/gas cans.

Last time the same plant shutdown for maintenance, the local refineries in MN shipped gas to IL and that caused our prices to rise.
It seems this is a well planned out price hike by the industries sometimes
Its not like there will be any real shortages or stations closing due to lack of fuel.
imo

Yep, just a big cash grab. They are still saying it will be below 2.00 a gallon by the fall. That's very hard to believe with the holidays to soon follow.

Every station around here is $2.75-$2.80+
Gas buddy prices seem to be wrong, time to fill the truck at costco
