I've been going out of Bable resort in Arneson by Rocky Point and doing quite well on the small saugers, big perch, and the occasional big eye. In a day of fishing you can limit on 1 to 2 pnd saugers and 10 eyes between 5 people is not uncommon with at least 1 piggy for a throwback besides 50 or so 1# perch.
That makes the trip well worth the drive.
We fish away from the crowds in 33' water with glows in pink and green. Definately light up the jig or the action is a lot slower also try some big silver jigging spoons.
