Default Optimax oil in a Yamaha V-max

Usually any TWc-3 oil for outboards will work in any outboard. I have been running XP50 Rude oil in my pontoon Merc for about 5 years and it works perfectly. Unless the motor calls for some specific type of injector oil only, i don't think this would be a problem. Merc oil is good oil and i believe its for oil injected motors.
