Default Planers and bottom bouncers

I'm new to trolling and am curious as to wheather you can troll bottom bouncers/various slip sinker bait rigs behind planer boards. I got my feet wet using cranks behind yellowbirds and now want to try bottom bouncers etc. Are snags more common with this method?(As opposed to trolling bottom bouncers without planers). What are some precautions or details I should be aware of?
Thanks, Karl

You most certainly troll bottom bouncers behind in line planer boards. I use the Off Shore Tackle brand, and they have performed very well in this fashion. You can also troll three ways, and snap weights as well.
You will probably snag up once in awhile, but certainly not enough for you not to consider adding this to your bag of tricks!

Your welcome. Hope you have a good year. Looks like we will have an early Spring unless things change.
