Default No Live Bait Challenge -- championship

South Dakota’s Glenn Eimers and David Bies weighed in six walleyes for 13.79 pounds to win the $15,000 top prize in the Lowrance sponsored Pro Team Walleye Circuit’s FoodSource Lures No Live Bait Challenge on Lake Francis Case on April 16.

Eimers and Bies topped another South Dakota team that made a strong run on the final day in the field of the top 20 qualifers, which entered the final day with zero weight. Gerrick McComsey and Max Sheets claimed runnerup honors with 13.01 pounds. Minnesota’s Bob Severtson and Mel Gilbertson took third with 12.03 pounds.

The Wyoming team of Tom and Virgil Brown had led qualifying each of the first two days of the tournament, but had a tough day in the finals. They weighed just three walleyes for 7.25 pounds and wound up in 18th place.

The Francis Case tournament is the first of six tourneys in the Lowrance sponsored Pro Team Walleye Circuit this year. For more information on the circuit, go to www.westernwalleye.com.

Did they just use crankbaits in this tournament or what?

What was the winning strategy? Cranks? Jigs and Plastics? North or South of town?

sounds like #5 shad rap and jointed shad raps caught about 95% of the fish.

I think other baits worked well too.
