Default Blosser and Niklasch win Menominee MWS

Congratulations and THANKS to all 73 teams that fished the MWS Menominee tournament. This was the final regular tournament for the tenth year of the MWS. The MWS championship will be September 17th back in Menominee for the top twenty five teams in the point’s standings.

It was a little cool, in the morning but soon warmed up to comfortable temperatures. The winds made for some bumpy rides for the teams. Most of the success came on crawler harnesses. Thirty seven teams weighed a three fish limit. There was a total of 131 fish caught weighing a total of 756.48#

The team of Robert Blosser and Lynn Niklasch took first place with a three fish limit weighing 26.92 # winning them $3,200. Second place went to the team of Mike Gengalo Sr and Mike Gengalo Jr with three fish totaling 25.42# for $2,000. The teams of Lynn and Robert and Mike and Mike tied for big fish of the tournament with their 10.28# walleyes winning them each a plaque donated by All Sport and Trophy, a thirty dollar gift certificate from Anglers Pride Specialty, and a fifty dollar gift card from TRS the Reel Shot Third place went to the team of Gordon Rabetski and Jim Leanna with three fish weighing 22.72# for $1,100 Fourth place went to the Father/Son team of Wayne Butz and Connor Butz with three fish weighing 21.66# for $700. Fifth place went to the team of Russell Ory and Marcel Cardinal with three fish weighing 21.60# winning them $700.

The Jack’s Jig and Big Eye Custom Lures award went to the team of Mark Dunn and Bud Bays

The Intruder award went to the team of Steve Slabe and Lance Busse

The Drop n Stay award went to the team of Brian Kaczmarek and Shawn Dougherty.

The MWS 2011 for Team of the Year is Steve Slabe and Lance Busse.

The Sibling Team of the Year is Chris Schrader and Scott Schrader.

The parent/child Team of the year is Steve Wiedmeyer and Mike Wiedmeyer.

The Husband/wife team of the year is Ron Goldapske and Vickie Goldapske.
