I've typically been using 3" grubs. I have my fair share of 2", but 3" is my go to.

3"+- for plastics most of the time, 2"+- when young of the year bait are dominating the available forage in early summer and sometimes 4"-5" real early and real late in the year when all the tiny bait is gone or if I'm head hunting. Overall you can go with 3" and if you feel they are too big just pinch a bit off.

Default 3 inch grubs

For walleye I use jigs with 3" grubs. I carry some 2 inch for yellow bass and 4 inch for pike used on spinner baits. If I happen to catch walleye using one or the other I wouldn't change.

Default Try Orange

I have read many times that the color most visible to a walleye is orange. Spring time it was always a white 3" grub and lately I have had super results with the Gulp Alive Minnow 3" Firetiger.

I have always questioned if it's the color or what one uses the most, lol. I still haven't figured that out yet but I will conclude that the color I use the most catches most of my walleye for me.....just sayin' FT

Probably a lot of wisdom in that statement. Witness the different first choices for folks, even those fishing the same body of water/out of the same boat.

Chartreuse (also great for smallies), white, black, purple.

Try the gulp alive twister tails, had good luck with them.

For bass fishing watermelon, green pumpkin and purple seem to cover almost everything. What are the best walleye colors for plastic grubs, or rib worms?

Thanks

White is so boring, but it is my go to color.
