Nice looking rig. If I ever have to replace my explorer, this will definitely be high on my list.

It is a nice boat but I still don't understand why Lund changed their bows so that the seat receptacle stays and doesn't come out when you convert to the bow rider set up.

Nice looking boat, but I don't want a Mercury motor so I guess I'm out of luck.

There are a lot of Lund dealers that will hang non-Mercury motors on a Lund hull.

Or, are you just

Many changes. Several entirely new models.
Lund is trying to make maximum use of the space. But there is still a need for clearances.
For example, on this is new model, if the seat base were installed on the removable section it would be too close to the windshield.
Another example: The new 1800 and 1900 Tyee have an all new bow conversion, which is unlike the traditional Tyee version, while...1950 and 1750 bow conversions remain the same.

Hope that helps..?

PS... This boat qualifies for a $900 cash rebate and a free cockpit (snap on.. trailering) cover - this month under the"Spring Catch" factory promotion.

You can get a Merc or Honda direct from Lund, supposedly Lund was contacted by Evinrude and Yamaha and that they were trying to negotiate a deal.....it was yamaha and Evinrude that left, Brunswick did not kick them out, so everyone knows....

Thanks and I was aware that they didn't update the 1750 and 1950 Tyee's but I'm looking for an 18 footer.

I just think having the seat pedestal fixed right in the center of the bow, not even covered by the cushions, is a big price to pay for a little bit of extra volume in the right and left storage compartments.

I'll probably buy one anyways though....

I don't know. If you got creative with it, I think that pedestal base might come in handy. Maybe get a short post and put a small table in there when in bow rider setup.
