Default Anyone have a snap cover on a 1800 SS Explorer

Im puting a factory Lund snap cover on my boat and wondering where the back snaps get screwed in? Into the back carpet/wood edge or below that into the aluminum. My concern is puting them into the aluminum there isnt much space between the aluminum and the live well plastic liner on that side. It is a 2006 with the track rail system

Robert

If you are talking about the two (one on each side of boat) that hold the rear flap down. Those are a slide over with a twist lock. They are located on the vertical two inch high of aluminum between splashwell and carpeting. Roughly two inches from side of boat.

On my 04 Explorer, the Lund cover came with bungee loops that hooked into hooks ther were screwed into the splash well. The closest snaps were then on the very back of the boat corners.

This cover has 9 snaps on the rear of it. I ended up screwing in the male part into the wood and it worked out fine. Thanks for the replies

Based on some of the replies all of these covers must not be the same. So I took a couple pics of mine.
