What brand and size hook do you guys tie your walleye flies with? Also how is the best way to fish them in no current and in heavy current ? Never tried them before just looking to try something new.

Just in case you're asking about fishing with a fly rod (unlikely), a Clouser minnow works really well.

Clousers are a great suggestion and can be trolled or cast with spinning gear. For a fly rod or trolling I really like the Puglisi flies. Too bad they cost as much as a crank bait. I would use any streamer hook that matches my pattern and put on a stinger if I was getting short strikes. This post has reminded me I need to tie up some single hook stingers.

Default Helgramite / Mayfly Pattern

Years ago we ran into walleyes gourging themselves on helgramites and my Uncle happened to have his fly tying gear with him on the trip. That evening he tied up a number of different patterns trying to mimic what the walleyes were spitting up. Attached are a few pics of the flies from that trip. We fished them on a 3 ft leader with an 1/8th oz egg sinker above a barrel swivel. They produced fish well enough but not as consistent as minnows. Haven't tried these in years but I doubt they will ever go swimming again. They are for display only now.

I would say that the hook size is a #2 or #3. Don't know what brand. There is another thread from January of 2014 talking about the same thing that may be helpful.

I use a fly rod and a sculpin or weighted crawdad pattern. Works well around the rocks in the shallow rivers I fish.

Hutches flys are what u want to use.here in Oshkosh it is deadly pulling in a river last weekend my wife and I pulled 16 fish 6 were over 4lbs I usually use 2flys in tandum off a three way a12 in dropper with a 1-1/2 oz weight its like pulling a bottom bouncer. The leads are one is about 4ft the sec is about 5 ft my favorite color is red and purple green and orange red and black . once u have confidence in using them. They work in the river I have had so so success on reefs You can also cast with them in on the shore and jig them back. I make my own so that i can have the color combo I want.
