Default Boat Repair Question

I am looking at a 2005 Fish Hawk 1750 and it has slight damage from hitting something on the rear right side. Owner says it doesn't affect performance but does this look like something easily repairable?? Any idea how much it would cost? Should I be overly concerned?? I will post pic when I get home phone isn't allowing me too
Thanks in advance.

Thanks!!!!

If it doesn’t leak, not worth fixing on a 16 year old boat.

Golf,
I would run away from this boat.

It looks like the boat rode up and over a rock pile.

There is a significant dent - right on the chine of the boat, which is a major load bearing part of the boat.

Also, from the picture - it appears that there are two different spots on the chine which may have been rubbed all of the way through the aluminum.

To repair this defect at a good shop will likely be about $5,000.

Yes, this sort of repair work is not inexpensive.

Best wishes.

I agree I would walk away and look for something else. That would cost a lot to fix and it probably isn't something that you can do yourself unless you work at a body shop.

After taking an enlarged look at the damage have to agree with above posters. Either he did not have insurance or took the money and ran. Or the boat would have to be dirt cheap almost salvage value.
