2075 pro v prop question
I have a 2015 2075 pro v with a 300 verado pro. At wide open throttle on lake oahe I am only getting about 55 mph and 5800-5900 rpms. My prop is a Rev 4 19p. I am not worried about the speed because I love how the rev 4 works in rough water more worried about the low RPMs. Those numbers were with 3 people in the boat with 3/4 tank of fuel. Any advice would be much appreciated.

What hole is your Verado mounted in?
The Rev 4 likes to be run pretty high. Moving up 1-2 holes if possible will get your RPMs where you want them and likely give you increased speed as well. Waxy |

That boat runs better with a Tempest on it. The hull is heavy and you need to get more of the boat out of the water. Less boat on water more speed. |

I have a tempest 21 I could try again but I really liked the rev 4 being able to keep the bow down to help cut waves instead of slamming them. Also need to see if my garage will allow me to raise the motor up one hole. Thanks for the responses

The Tempest is worth a try if you've got one. It will be slightly faster and run higher RPMs at WOT than the Rev4. They create a lot bow lift though, and personally, I don't care for them.
As you've found out, the all around handling and performance of the Rev4 (or any 4 blade) is much better. The Rev4 lifts the entire boat, bow and stern, and is a great prop for heavier boats. It just requires a different setup than the Tempest for optimum performance. Waxy |

My motor is mounted the second hole from as deep as it could be mounted. I don't know the correct way to say that. So I'm probably mounted 1-2 holes to low.

I have the same boat motor combo. The Tempest is the wrong prop, it's just the best prop for compensating for the motor being mounted at the wrong location. Raise the motor to the second hole from the bottom, my local BPS did this for 45 bucks. I am not familiar with the Rev4 but i am sure it will perform better, I went with a 21.5p Bravo 1 LT, it was like having a new boat, ride was better, speed was better, rpm were now at 6100, mid range acceleration was the biggest improvement. I know someone who did the same except went with the 21p Bravo 1 LT as he guides and has more people on his boat and loves the performance. This was advise I received on here from other members when I posted having the same problem as you who all seem to had the same problem (I wish I could remember the name so I could give him credit) as well as prop advice from Mercury Racing.

I have a 2025 and went to a bravo LT as well after trying many props. Still has the top end and the benefits of the rough water handling..love it!
