Default 300 Verado boggs down

I have a 2014 Mercury Verado 300HP and occasionally i will be running across the water and the motor starts to bog down. I have to go to neutral and then it takes off running normal again. It doesn't happen all the time just occasionally. I talked to my dealer and I was basically told they need to see it happen before they can diagnose it. I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue.

Are you starting it to fast without letting motor and onboard cycle complete before cranking it over.

Gas tank vent problem? Not sure if there are emission devices on a 2014 hull that could interfere with proper venting to allow fuel flow. I'm sure that 300 is mighty thirsty.

It kind of sounds like the valve at the outlet of the fuel tank. The ball bearing in the valve can stick. My 300 Verado was definitely a little thirsty but **** I loved that motor. It worked flawlessly.

Water in your fuel? Have you changed/checked your water fuel separator?

Oddly enough, if you have a nick/slight vibration from your prop, at specific rpms the float can ride up and cut off fuel flow.
