The 4000-5000# towing capacities on V6 SUV's will be less common

I really didn't believe the rated capacity when I bought my tow vehicle (not a PU.) There's no way I'd pull what they say I could, not only because the beating the drive train would take but the diminished ability to stop in a reasonable manner.

I didn't see any mention in the article of adoption of similar standards to SUV's. Hopefully, that's not far down the road.
