Default 597ciHD

My new boat will have a Huminbird 597ciHD, both up front and in the rear. Should I buy a mapping card for both, or is it real easy to move the one card back and forth?

Hi bassin, it is personal preferance wether you want two cards or one. I have the 587HD and 597HD on my rig and will only be running one card, if I feel like I want to get another card I can. Save your $ unless you can get an awsome deal for the two. Just my opinion.

I have that same unit. What cards are you guys buying? I fish in several different states and wanted to avoid buying 3 different cards if possible.

I just put a 597ci Hd DI in the back of my boat and moved LOW to thr front. When I bought the HB I found out that it would use the same Naionics card as my old LOW uses, so I didnt need to get a second card. Then i was in the Bargain Room and found one for $72 and went ahead and got it. I dont think I will use the GPS on the front much but if I want to now I can. Each Navionics card covers several states.

Isn't the Lakemaster the better card for a Humminbird?

I have 2 HB 597 CIHD's one up front and back. I bought one LakeMaster for MI and switch it between the two units. The Lakemaster card is unbelievable and cost me $119.99 at Gander Mountain. Easy two remove and replace card.
On hindsight I wish at least one of my units would have been the 597CIHD DI.

I just picked up a Lakemaster card (Great Plains) that has Kansas. It's got NE, IA, IL, MO, KS.

I just checked the Lakemaster web site. They do make a map that covers part of the lakes in KS., but not the one that I live a fish on. I guess when I ask the guy at Cabelas, I ask about Glen Elder. When he said they didnt make one I thought He ment for Kansas not just Glen Elder.
