Default upgrading HB?

I have a 1198, 959, and a AS ETH 5PXG to connect all this stuff, add the Terrova with I pilot/Ilink and I was going try and keep all this updated.

Found the update for the 1198 and 959.

But is there an update for the AS ETH 5PXG?
Or the Ipilot/Ilink ??

And if so where do I find them, my HB.com support doesn't list anything for those two.
Least I can find.

TIA

I don't think that the older 5-port switch has a software patch associated with it.

Your i-Pilot Link system has two software patches. One for the controller and one for the remote. You'll need to register your system at the Humminbird website to access them.

Haven't done the Terrova yet, I just need to enter the Terrova's serial number and that will do the Ilink also?

Is there an preferred order in how the updates should go??

Thanks Jason.

I think that Link has a different S/N than the Terrova.

Yes, there is a preferred order. Fish finder first, then controller, then remote. Once you register the Link you'll see the detailed instructions....follow then *exactly*.

Looks to be one unit, direction on Terrova for updates include the Ilink updates.

Or at least the controller appears to be what will update Ilink.

There are two separate updates, one for the controller and one for the remote. If you update the controller and not the remote, chances are excellent that the remote will not communicate correctly or completely with the controller.

I see that, but do you update both the controller and remote through the remote?

Or is there an controller hid somewhere?

Al...who thinks there should be an "updating HB's for dummys" book

The controller is the thing sitting on top of your trolling motor.

Both the controller and the remote are updated through the fish finder.

The instructions on performing the update are found with the Link software patches on the Bird website. Follow them precisely and the story will have a happy ending.

Thanks, I'll get it all together and go give it a try.

Was going to superior thurs/friday but the guy who was going with can't get off work, and can't find anybody, so it might be a good time to see what happens.
