Default Ram Claw trolling motor support Ulterra

I really didn't want to drill any holes for the trolling motor support , and saw the new ram claw support, so I just added another claw, and clamp it right to the rail. When im fishing I just leave the top claw open and the ulterra sets right in it and don't bounce when moving around. Then when im done for the day , I just tighten it up. I upgraded the ram mount with the quickslip today.

I did the same thing and it works great. plus took a short Velcro strap to wrap around the cable and shaft midway to keep the wires from bouncing while traveling. 4 hour trips means 4 hours of the cable flexing. may help the cable to last a little longer.

I did the same with my Terrova. Bought the individual pieces from Amazon. Don't know of total cost, but it was reasonable for what it's doing.

I have a small on the rail and a medium on the Terrova with the 1.5" ball/socket. Mine is rock solid.
