Default NTC slots??

Anyone have any idea if they are going to do a second round of slots this year? Generally they send out a second round by the first week of March but I am starting to wonder if they are going to or not. Sure would be nice to let a guy know so they could make plans.

I have my fingers crossed but I'm hearing rumors of "don't hold your breath".

I was told by a reliable source that after April 1 they will re allocate the left over entries. My guess is that it will take a week or two for them to get those sorted and mailed out.

I am sure someone will post once they start receiving re allocations.

Well the MWC site was updated today and it leaves some hope. They show 187 entries received for the NTC. That should mean 63 slots are still available.

Just wondering where do they post these spots? Do you have to qualify for one or what?

You had to qualify through a sanctioned club or tournament. After the initial round they go to Walleye federation clubs.

It was said that all the extra spots were going to the Walleye federation clubs as well.

We shall see. I know we are actively perusing more spots. Can't say we are happy about the thought that we are being held hostage and have to join the Walleye Federation. I haven't seen anything that great about them.

Luckily our organization is with the Walleye Federation, I just wish they would tell us already. If we really don't find out until April that could be a problem, especially for those of us that are trying to put together our tournament seasons. Plus I'm guessing finding a place to stay in april will be fun.
