Default Muskie rods

Looking to buy a new Muskie rod but want one made in the USA. I like St. Croix but they are manufactured in Mexico. I know there are some custom built rods out there but don't know much about them. Any information anyone has would be helpful.

Not all St Croix rods are made in Mexico.

The Legend Tournament Series and their new high end series are made in the USA, along with their custom blank ( predator ) they make for Thorne Bros custom rods. All are very good muskie sticks.

That being said, what do you plan to throw with your new rod ?

Almost all my spinning walleye gear is Elk River customs and last yr. pick up 1 of the musky rods paired with an NACL
You won't go wrong with Elk River and all the Musky shops (Rollie/Helens) customs are made by them.

I'm pretty sure Elk River is using St Croix blanks as well. I have a 8' heavy Elk River split grip that I like, especially with it customized to my specs. Phillips is just down the road from Park Falls so it would make sense for them to use SC blanks.
