Default Hot N Tot Replacement Hooks

Looking for suggestions on hooks, size and make for both sizes of Hot N Tots. Just bought a bunch used and they need new hooks have used Excalabur in the past and love them but cost is a factor since I need to do about 30 Tots. Thanks.

I like swapping out Tots with Triple grips. Eliminates the hook rash problem you get with the stock or standard replacement hooks.

Sorry for the late response, do you use the short shank triple grips this sounds like a great idea I have always been a little miffed when pulling my new tots for a day only to see them all marker up thanks for the great idea! Bill.

I've been hearing a lot of talk about these Triple Grip hooks, are they really that much better?

It's been a while since I've done tots, but I usually put a short up front and regular shank in back on smaller baits like those and shads.

Awesome hook. VERY sharp and sticky! Only downside allot of people don't like is that they are fairly thin wire, which is what makes them so sharp, and they do have a tendency to twist and bend on larger fish. I like that though. Because of the unique shape, they usually bend right into the fishes mouth and the hook gap closes, instead of straightening or widening up like most hooks, and they lock that fish on!

I've been thinking about changing out some of my crank bait hooks, so maybe I'll give these a try.
