Kentucky- visit Churchill Downs and the Louisville Slugger factory in Louisville, Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Boonesboro, tour bourbon distilleries, stare capitol in Frankfort, Toyota factory, lots to do theree and there will be plenty of green and blooming things to see.
Kansas City- great barbeque, baseball and they have a WWI museum with stuff I've never seen before from the "War To End All Wars".

Sport,
I will say one thing about crossing the bridge. On the day that my wife and I crossed the bridge, the "high wind warnings were posted" We were driving a high profile motor home. Basically, all of the bumper to bumper traffic was going 10-15 mph crossing the bridge. The design of the bridge is an arch. That means that when you start crossing the bridge, you can not see the other side of the bridge. You can only see to the center of the bridge which is the peak of the arch design of the bridge. For some reason, not being able to see the other side really started to bother me. My wife spoke up and said, " don't look ahead, just look at the bumper of the car in front of you." I took her advice and was able to relax a bit - even with the rocking and swaying that was going on. But, just as soon, as we came to the peak of the arch at the center of the bridge, so that I could see the other side, I instantly relaxed, sat back and enjoyed the rest of the ride. I suppose that it was just not being able to see where I was going that was bothering me so much. But, overall - the entire trip was a 10 on a scale of 0-10. Lots of things to see and do. Be safe |

Chicago is a great long weekend 'date' place. Shopping galore. Outstanding steak houses and all styles of food. SiTE seeing, museums, boat tours, shows, fantastic accommodations. Four days will only scratch the surface.
If you go ask for tips, places to see and dine. Tip 1. Take cabs or Uber. Walking is nice but eats into time to see stuff. |

Auburn Cord Dusenberg museum in Auburn IN. The only auto museum in the headquarters of the company. It's more than just old cars. It's architecture and art.
Then on to Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mi Then Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. |

Superior might be nice but i would be worried about it being cold yet in early May. Takes a long time for all that water to warm and any wind coming off the lake will be cold.
Just my opinion.

If you go to st Louis take in Grants farm and it's a little drive but the meramec caverns are really cool. We go to a comedy club off of 270 by ozy smith's bar and grill. Ball game would be good that's a awesome ball bark. Along with the other things all ready talked about could be a fun four days.

Well we are headed to St. Louis tonight if it isn't underwater by then...
Staying in Caseyville, IL. Looks like most of the trouble is on the SW side of the city. I shouldn't have bought those tickets to the Brewers/Cards game Thursday...weather shows rain for every single hour on Thursday. |
