Default Allegheny River (PA) Eyes

The bite is hot on the Allegheny, from the Point to Lock 9! Sauger are averaging 18-19 inches. Walleye averaging 19-25 inches. Heavy (1/2 oz. and up) jigs tipped with shiners are killing them (high water conditions). One of the best years for a late fall/early winter bite in years. Large eyes being taken at Lake Arthur also. Would be a good time for an outdoors show to film what happens in eastern waters besides Lake Erie!

Default Lock 9

Fished Lock 9 Sunday afternoon & evening. One other boat on the water. Only got 7 eyes and 1 sauger, 3 of them legal. Lost one heavy fish at the boat. River was falling fast - heard they were hitting better last few days. Figures...
