Default Trying to plan a trip need help.

Can anyone suggest a good October Erie or Ontario basecamp in NY. Not a camp specifically but an area thats good to fish walleye. Have fished Oswego in spring, Never fished around Buffalo or Erie PA. Thank you!
Mike.

The best Erie fishing for walleye is in Huron/Vermilion. By October most of the fish have migrated back to the west. If it's eyes your after come to Ohio waters.

Kgone got it right. You will catch resident NY fish Buffalo to Pa line but the big numbers that time of the year is western Ohio.

Have a look at Oneida Lake.

A monster in Oneida is 5lbs. lol! Full days of 17 inchers just doesnt get me excited. I cant seem to find any info on Lake Ontario fall fishing. Wouldnt those fish be staging in the same areas I found them at in the spring?

Oh yea,
October in Huron is the place to be
And if it's a mud bowl in Ohio, we do very well in Michigan water as well
And this year it looks like the bite will be early
