Thinking of heading over to Lake Erie from Ill. around May 15th with the wife, any recommendations on lodging with a marina and other things around in case we can't get out fishing (bringing a 2075 pro v). And any fishing advise or tips that time of year, planned on jigging. Thanks for any responses!!

There are a ton of places. The above link is the County Chamber's site. It might be of use to you.

I do suggest however, that you reserve early as this area is a big tourist attraction and lodging fills up quickly.

Try the island club rentals on southbass island you can get a place at a reasonable price at that time of year, nice area and the fishing is pretty good, we troll using reef runners or bottom bouncers with worm harnesses, there are a bunch of shops and restrants down town to do things when not fishing, there is a ferry to take you,your truck and boat over to the island, i am heading there may 1st,cant wait.!
