Default New laws on phosphate free dishwashing liquids

The last 6 months or so our dishes have not been clean. We have a GE Profile dishwasher and run Cascade Complete. Our dishes have not been clean since they took the phosphates out. Worthless. Any ideas on a work around soap that works now that they banned what has been working for 40 years?

Cascade ActionPacs. In our experience their use results in cleaner dishes and glasswear than any liquid stuff we used before. And they are phosphate free.

If you've never purchased them, they might seem pricey. However, since you only need one per load, they work out to be less costly than pouring (excess) liquid detergent into that little cup prior to running each load. The convenience of a premeasured, prepackaged product is just a bonus.

Give them a test run. You'll like 'em.

What a sissy thread.

By the way, I research and purchase all the cleaning products used in my household.

Yep- Cascade ActionPacs- work great. Costs about $0.25/load and does a great cleaning job. If your D/W won't clean with this detergent, repair or replace.

Yeah, sissy thread and when I can't go fishing I do stuff like annoy my wife by researching her choices of household chemicals. She really loves it when I go fishing...

If your dishwasher is next to your sink, do you turn the hot water tap on till its hot before starting dishwasher?

Also if you have one of the newer dishwasher with a turbidity sensor, if you rinse the dishes off before washing you may cause problems.
The turbidity (sp?) is a device that tells the dishwashers control if the dishes are clean or not and regulates wash times...usually.

Uh, pokey, that good stuff is very Bad for lakes and streams (where fish live) it is what's helping algae smother many lakes. So BANNING it is GOOD and should be applauded by all fishermen
