Its not the price of fuel, it's the 16 month twins that slowed me down. I would spend more time at devils lake

Default fuel Cost

I live 1.5 miles away from the lake, so high price fuel is no issue...it's this dadgum hot weather keeping me from fishing....

Default At My age

At my age I would fish the same places I do now, all over the place. I remember .25$ at a Gulf station in our small farm town back in 1965. I remember .17$ gas being deliveried on the farm to our tank. I also remember $65 a week wages, milk at 1.98/ cwt. corn at $.95 a bu. and a new pickup for $1769. I bought a 65 acre farm for $7000 back in 68 so in realistic terms how does it all shake out. I'm not sure, I think I'll just go fishing.
