Juls, I'd like to know that answer as well. I had assumed it had to do with the tourney coming up. But maybe there's more to it. I'd like your take.

Great by the F can yesterday. Limit in a few hours. Water temp 39 and cloudy. Reef runners yellow and pink about 50 feet line out. Today the wind pushed the boat too fast. Did bring in a 30 inch 11.11 that we released. Best speed is .8 to 1.2.

Lots of good catchin now. Both jigging the reef area for males and the surrounding area trolling for big females. Toussaint reef was hot yesterday and the area around F can is producing for the trolling bite. Purple and pink are hot colors (imagine that), with several different stickbaits pulling fish. Trolling speeds are 1.0-1.3, depending on current seems to be best. Surface temps in the mid 40's already. SNOW is forecast for Monday night/Tuesday, then more stable weather is forecast after that.

Can't add much to the report other than yesterday was a heck of a lot of fun. There were a ton of boats at F can yesterday, so staying on a trolling pass to hit my marks was not always possible, but we did do pretty well going 8 for 10 before we had to head in. Our hot colors were Pink Lemonade, Halloween, and Fire Tiger DHJ's 25-45 back at 1.0-1.3mph.
