30' is about the maximum leader length I see for leadcore, and that is just typically for consumption for retying knots or removing abrasions at the lure end. Any more leader than that and you start to lose the action the leadcore imparts.

Yep mine are 20 ft. The shock value of a monster king and having the right amount of stretch in the line but having hook up power is perfect with 20ft I believe, my hookup and landing ratio on lead is near perfect, copper...not so much for whatever reason.

Off for two days at Silver Bay next week, we'll try a shorter leader, but last week we did very well on longer leaders, different strokes I guess.

All part of the learning curve I think.
