Just saw this thread. Consistently killing ducks and geese at 50-70 yards... Ha! Like was said above, gotta love it! If you are even shooting AT birds at those ranges, you might want to think about decoy setting more than chokes

Anyway, we shoot Brownings (26" barrels) and found that different types of shot and different sizes DOES make a difference. We did this through patterning at 35 yards with lots of different shell types. For our guns, Improved Modified (between Imp. Cyl. and Modified) works best for us, and #2 shot is horrible no matter the shell size or shot type. #4 works best, and #3 isn't too bad.
#1 and #2 are horrible, but when you get to BB it gets back to good. But each gun and choke style will be different.

Really funky what you find out when you spend some time doing it, if you haven't yet. I would recommend spending time and $$ on doing a bit of patterning and it will be worth it.
