Default Your top tips for first ice trip on Erie?

Going up in just over a week and looking for your top tips for a day on the ice. Guide is providing the shanty, heater, rods, and bait. Planning on wearing Carhartt bibs/coat with some insulated Timberland boots with wool socks. I'm also going to bring my portable Humminbird fishfinder with side imaging and contemplating bringing a GoPro camera, but have no idea if it can provide quality footage under the ice. I'm going to find some waterproof/insulated gloves. What other stuff should we be sure to bring along? TIA
