Default Boat Cupholders

There has been a lot of discussion lately about great boats and poor cupholders. I know my skeeter wx2100 has a bit to be desired and has the cheap flip down ones you can get at fleet farm. My buddies and brother's yarcrafts have a lot to be desired as well. Wondering if anyone has found something that has worked well. I talked to a guy who have the suction cup type, and they don't hold up. In a perfect world, I would find one that held a can of soda or water, held a tool or two, plus a place to put extra lures. Am I dreaming?

These manufactures build $60K rigs, and cup holders are an after-thought. Feels like the early 90's with cars. Why is it taking so long to catch up? My truck seats 6, but has 10 cup holders. That is what I am looking for.

I put these in the rear of my 1910 - good quality/easy to mount.

My Skeeter has the thicker metal fold out ones, they work great! It's nice to be able to fold them up and out of the way when not in use, don't like the molded-in ones the 2016 models now have...

My boat has cup holders in all of the side storage pockets.
2 in the front and 4 in the back. They work very well. Basically, they are a hole in the fiberglass side mouldings and then a plastic cup holder that fits into the hole.

If I am not using the holder for a drink, I use them to hold pliers or an extra lure or jig.

Nothing protrudes, nothing sticks out and nothing ever breaks.

As far as I am concerned - a perfect design.

Be safe

I like using the molded in cupholders for storing my worm harness noodle and a pocket knife.

I would like to see a trash can of some kind added to boats.

I added the suction cup style. Took the suction cup off and screwed it to the inside wall of the boat. Done deal, works fine.

I got a couple of Bell cup holders http://www.bellautomotive.com/Octopu...-1-00051-8.htm

Inexpensive, fits all cups and containers, contains spills, and I move them where I need them.
