Default Lund 3 bank charger question?

For the ones with the Lund 3 bank charger in the front rod sorrage. Guessing the cord will be in there with the charger and have get into the boat to plug it up?
Or do they run the plug to the back of the boat somewhere?
If its in the front. I think I will extend it to the back that way I will not have to get in the boat to plug in it.

Pete,

Install one of these in a convenient location that you can reach from outside the boat. On my rig I extended the power cord to the stern and installed the plug on the port side so I can access by reaching over the transom. On your Lund maybe you can put towards the bow so you don't have to extend the power cord. Any boat or marine dealer should have them and probably cheaper.

Thanks that is what I was thinking about adding. And I am guessing lund will leave the power cord in the rod locker. If so I will just run it to the back and add on of those. That way with the cover on , I can plug it up at the transom.
Thanks again.

Pete,
FWIW, I noticed that when I plugged-in my onboard charger, and left the in-floor battery compartment door closed, there was certainly evidence of "gassing" on the hinges and such. Now, I use wet-cell batteries, so if you are going to use sealed AGM's it should not be an issue. But, depending on what type of batteries you're going to use, you may want to ventilate the compartment (and even pull back the cover).

i ran a cord from the rear batt. comp. to the front,in floor batt comp (via the in floor wire cond.) to plug in the charger. I left about 3 0r 4 ft.of cord that i can just reach in the rear batt. comp. and pull out to plug in works great. I always leave the floor batt. comp. door open when charging.

Right, Pete.
It will have a short cord coming off it that is easily seen and accessible when you open the center rod locker door.

I have a 2021 Lund 1875 crossover with a 3 bank charger from the factory that is mounted in the rod storage compartment floor. However, for the life of me I cannot find a plug in 🔌 anywhere. I have looked under both bow cushion storage compartments (where the trolling motor batteries would go) as well as back of the boat where the cranking battery is. Nothing. Anyone have any info on possible location? From looks of pictures from the internet it shows the 4th cable from the left should have a plug in on it but from what I can tell on my boat that cable heads up into the boat somewhere but there is no plug in.
