HDS reboots with my Navionics card problem

I have a Navionics hotmaps card in my HDS. In the past the HDS worked fine and now when I zoom in on the chart with the navionics map inserted the HDs reboots. If remove the card and use the lowrance pre-loaded basic map the unit doesn't reboot when I zoom in.

Anybody have this problem?

Is my card finished? its from 2006.

Curious. Have you selected the Navionics card in the setup menu? Is it HDS capable to start with?

yes the card is selected in the setup menu. The card is HDs capable and has been working fine for the last 2 years on the HDS.

Gen 1 or 2? What software version? Try a soft reset, this sometimes clears quirks like this.

its a Gen 1

has the latest software and it started doing it this year. I had a problem with resetting last year but a hard reboot fixed it.

did I soft and hard reset this year and it still does this only when I zoom in.

Did it only start doing this once you installed Ver 4.1? I had the same problem with a Lakemaster card after I installed 4.1, re-installed 4.0 and it worked fine but had not experienced the same problem with my 06' Navionics card!

called lowrance got them to send me the 3.5 software and it works now.

go figure the new software has a bug with my card.
