Angry Humminbird Disappointment!!

Just purchased a 1158C DI and tried to load my waypoints and they won't load. After a 25 minute wait on hold for customer service the person informs me that "sorry but it is a software glitch" when asked about a fix they told me there would be one coming but did NOT KNOW WHEN! how's that for the newest and the greatest? Not very happy but suppose there isn't much I can do about it other than wait!

What are you trying to load your waypoints from? I've used the H/B PC program to load Garmin and Lowrance waypoints to my H/B. Save your waypoints to an SD card, then change them to the correct format with H/B PC, then load them on your unit with an SD card. If you have the H/B PC program on your computer, you shouldn't have to worry about their end problem.

Angry I did it the correct way!

I downloaded them onto an SD card, and attempted to load them onto the new depth finder--the 1158 c DI--always comes up with a memory error! as I indicated Bird said program glitch and wait for fix to come out!! I loaded the same chip into a 998c and it took it with no problem. So I know there is a problem with the 1158's. or at least some of them!

Default Dont Tell me that - My 1158C DI Just left the shipping doc

Mr Ducks - I tried to cancel my order when I read your post. It left the shipping doc 5 minutes before I called to cancel and switch to a 998C SI
This has me very concerned - Saved up for 3 years to get the best ICAST Award winner and this is what we get. I will check mine out when I receive it and I will see if I have the same problem. My email address is
John.Vaught@Pentair.com lets keep in touch in regards to this issue.

did you try a different SD card?

some units are picky on what you use

Default Check the size of the SD card

SD card may be the problem. Make sure you get like a 1 gb card and not the newer HD cards. I have all Lowrance so I can't speak from expierence.

I had a older camera that wouldn't take a new 8 gb card. And I almost pitched the camera and then finally a clerk told me that my camera wouldn't recognise the newer versions.

Not saying this it your problem, but it is worth a $10 try.
