Default HDS 8 gen2 and HDS5 gen2

iam new to these types of fish finders and have them on my boat my question is are these very hard to use ? seems like alot of things to know and beeing new to them seems overwhelming i do have structure scan and side scan is there any tips or things i should know about using these at my cottage water is pretty shallow 6-8 ft but also got some deeper spots but not more then 30ft i usually fish for bass, crappie ,walleye , pike and musky and tips would be greatly appreciated

I would recommend ordering the HDS and Structure Scan DVD from Doc, sit down with a pen. Doc can shorten the learning curve immensely! http://hightechfishing.com/store/dvd.html
