Got lucky with weather and hours on Yamaha
I was able to get my new outfit 2012 Ranger 1850 with 150 Yamaha 4 stroke. Friday and today was sunny and local lake had good water. I put 3 hrs a day on engine and will do 6 more the next two days. I made the switch from 150 carb Johnson to the 4 stroke. I have to say if these two days are anything that future holds, its a great engine. I am happy with hole shot and at all speeds. I have 3 blade prop and today I got up to 50 on GPS. I did just to check RPM range and it was great. At 1000 rpms, I have to look back to make sure its running. The boat rides just like my 2005. Next week will switch trailers and get my alum one, also get my T9 installed. Only glitch in the time on water was the Speedometer, its sticking, and not sure if fuel gauge is right. I told dealer, its had to be repaired or replace the entire unit. No other bugs, still have to try the Ipilot, have been using the HDS 5 and happy with that unit. I will post pictures after I get the trailer on Monday. Had a lot of help from members here and appreciate all the help.
