Have the Glorvigan boys get the pro shirts ready for this one. USA RED WHITE and BLUE shirts vs the RED and WHITE Maple leaf shirts for the Canuks, eh!!

IF I remember right, the Canadians won the first one on their turf, right. Bring it on!!

Scott Duncan, you crack me up. IF anyone ever calls you Larry the Cable guy at a tourney someday, that'll be me trying to get your attention.

I hope that my post wasn't taken as negative either, just trying to figure out what "most lucrative event" means. It sounds like the casino is doing a heck of a job with their sponsorship and it should be a great time for all.

Now I just thought of a questions for our Canadian guests. Since this is a tournament, and considered income (at least in this counrty), what do you guys need for paperwork to come into the US? Is this considered work or vacation?

Since it is paid in cash, I'm guessing a Mason jar and a shovel....

It will be a great event with a great payout due to the great sponsorship from the Bay Mills Casino.

Can you tell I like the word "GREAT"

Your right... lot of room for interpretation with that.

Could mean:
- Largest 1st Place prize (individual event)
- Largest 1st Place prize (team event... which would then be considered split between team members)
- Largest prize purse for the entire field

Juls no you were not. I was going to go back and say not every comment was negative as I realized I stated it incorrectly. But I had to run!

I WALLEYE your question was a good question and it wasn't negative it is what happens after such a question that gets me. Your question was a good honest question posted with your name which I respect. I think AIM maybe means most lucrative as in highest percentage of payout. So more money being paid out in respect to the amount coming in form entry fee's. Is that the right way to put it maybe maybe not but in any event it will be a great tournament for the sport I suspect.

I am all for good open discussion but when it get's right to bashing I get irritated as it does no good for the sport we are all are engaged in. There seems to be a handful of people for whatever reason that feel the need to continually bash and attack if it something they are not a part of. Instead of giving good ideas or alternatives they hide behind false names and attack and bask and attack and bash day in and day out. But as we know they are most likely the same type of people that agree with, what are they the occupy protesters who want everything for nothing and don't want to have to work for it and when they don't get what they want it is always someone else's fault.

I am speaking in general terms here. I don't care what tour, what product or what person it is there is a way to make ones point without outright attacking in a very negative manner. Every time someone does this it hurts our sport and it makes us all look bad. It does absolutely zero good and no one ever benefits from it, well maybe the person doing the attacking get's a benefit which I just don't get and never will.

If as much effort went into our sport trying to build it as sometimes goes into it to tearing it apart what do you think would happen? I know, it would flourish once again and we would all benefit from anglers to tackle manufacturers, boat builders, engine builders the list goes on and on If the manufacturers are healthy and making money the anglers benefit in a big way and that my friends are you and me

To CHAINWALL, unfortunately you are most likely correct and I aint seen nothing yet

Default Great

Great, now any question about what may be a great event, with a potentially great concept is now considered negative by one of the AIM owners.

Well that just ain't great.

Still, it's great to have such great news about AIM filling a tournament.

It would be great to have a list of who the anglers are competing in the USA vs Canada event. It would be great to be able to have great hot stove league discussions about which great team will triumph and achieve Bay Mills Casino greatness.

Great, now I am late for a great cup of coffee.

First of all Dave I am not a AIM owner. Secondly my point has been made thanks. Thirdly I am taking about bashing and attacking not making a negative comment. Not everyone has to agree with everything one says or does but when they outright attack or bash for their own amusement and at the expense of our industry, ya I have a problem with it and so should you Dave and everyone else involved in this sport.

Enjoy your coffee....

If Team Canada can pull this off it might be the single greatest feat ever accomplished for that country. Of course if they do win more then likely all the members would end up moving to the US.

Oh wait, wasn't Celine Dion from Canada? I think she still lives there. You got us on THAT one
