Wave Wackers

I think I read here last year that the Wave Wacker Tourney was on it's last legs. THis past weekend I heard that Hunter's Point was going to take that calender spot and start a similar tournament. Can anyone verify?

The Wave Wacker tournament had poor numbers last year. Hunter's Point is hosting a tournament on the same dates and many of the fishermen who used to fish the Wacker have signed up for the new tournament. I can't say for sure, but I think the Wave Wacker tournament is over.

On Fishermans Wharf website it is listed as TBD June 2012. Not sure what that means. My guess it isnt going to draw many boats with Hunters running the same type of tournament and took over some prime dates. Kind of sad as it used to be a top notch tournament and 200+ boats.
