RANGER 617 TVS TILLER - SPLASHGUARDS ???

THE NEW RANGER 617 TILLER SEEMS TO WORK ROUGH WATER VERY WELL WITHOUT SPLASHGUARDS... ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BOAT IN BIG WATER YET... HOW TALL SHOULD GUARDS BE ON THIS BOAT?

I also would like to know, moreso with the console version. Also, I am 6' tall, I am concerned if I could fit into a 617DVS. Any comments on this boat would be great.

there is a guard available for the 617 wheel boats... however, we are still trying to figure out the best way to put guards on the tiller version... as for fitting in the 617 dvs - no problem... this boat is 17'8" and accommodates a big guy no problem - I am in the business and have three on the floor - I am 6'3" and am easily accomodated by the slide rail seating that comes standard on the boat...

I hate to put questions upon questions but...

I just have the ranger catalog, and I see that the 617 tiller has a stern mountable trolling motor, can you put a stern mounted trolling motor on the console models also?

Any clue what the 617DVS with a 150 mercury or yamaha would cost?

I am 6'1" and I fit just fine. I don't even run the slide on the seat all the way back. If you are overly concerned about it, when you order your boat, tell them not to install the driver's seat. That way you can put it wherever you want it.
I don't work with him, but "Wags" runs a good dealership out in Alex. I'd certainly recommend him.
