Default MN. Deer registration down....

This year the DNR registered 111,000 deer, compare that to 2003 when we registered 290,000 deer. Quite a difference don't you think?

Thoughts?

I think the weather had something to do with that. Bunch of snow on the ground stopped some folks from driving groves. Add the low temps that kept some at home.

Still, even with weather, less deer, less to register.

Hope big ag and insurance are paying for the DNR budget, seems thats all they cater too..

Deer numbers in are area have been falling sense the late 90's,right now there pitiful,in the early 2000's if you went and got all the tags, buck, doe, over the counter gratis tags you could shoot 5 deer. Good job DNR,throw in a couple of bad winters, way to many coyotes and poor management=poor deer numbers.
