Question Stabil shelf life?

With all the talk about fuel stabilizers, a question comes to mind... how long will a bottle of stabil remain effective after it is opened?

Look on the bottle, it tells you. I don't have one handy but I think it's 2 years after opened.

actually, that's why I stopped using StaBil, and switched to Seafoam. I left an open bottle on the shelf, and it separated into some kind of chunky stuff. It was the regular blend, not the marine version.

You're right. It says 2 years in the fine print on the bottle. It also has a spot to record when you opened the bottle.

Thanks.

I have switched from sea foam, stabil to starbrite ...we use it in snowblowers, lawn mowers, wheelers, boats, I basically use it on everything. We haven't had problems with fuel since we switched to it. I pour some in every fill on the boat during the summer and for winter storage.

Check out there other products, all kinds of boat cleaners ect...
