Default 2011 Reata 1850, 175 Verado, Bravo 1 FS prop

I'm considering giving this prop a try. I've read much about it being a great prop for larger boats and motors, anybody have this rig or similar and running a Bravo with good results? If so I'd be very interested to hear about your performance numbers. Thanks in advance!

I don't think they have one in a pitch small enough to turn with that rig , but I may be wrong

Default Prop on 1850

i believe the have a 20" pitch now. If you can swing a 19 rev 4, you should be good as the Bravo 1 FS runs a little light on pitch.

the 20" is part #8M0090451. that is a right rotation. Go to mercury racing dot com for more detail.

I tried a Rev 4 19P on my 2014 Reata about a month ago. It was fast (about 49-50 at WOT) but, unfortunately, it never built up over 5350 RPM's which is why I didn't keep it. I am very interested in finding performance figures on a Bravo 1 FS 20. I would love to hear from Reata 1850 owners who have tried different props. My boat came with a Tempest 21 which went 45 MPH at 5340 RPM's. I wish I would have had a Tempest 19 to try...those props are fast but, not good for overall handling on the Reatas. The REv 4's have amazing holeshot and I might have stayed with the 17P but, I just feel that I can do better. I settled for a Powertech 4-bladed 18 pitch prop. I'm getting close to 5600 RPM's and about 48-49 MPH. The holeshot is good but, not nearly as good as the Rev 4 series. Some feedback would be appreciated. Hey...sorry if I appear to be hijacking this thread....I just get excited about props.

Do you think I can use the Bravo 1 FS on a non 4-stroke? Were they made to be on a 4-stroke(hence, the FS) or will my Pro-XS benefit as well?

Weird....I get about 6100 rpms with a rev-4 19p.

How are you measuring RPM's .....digital or analog gauge ?

Default Bravo 1 FS on XS?

Yes, you could try a FS on an XS as it does have PVS plugs. However, Merc does offer a specifically tuned bravo for the two strokes called the Bravo 1 XS. The blades are tuned a little different from the FS to match the torque curve of the two stroke vs. four. I run the 22" Bravo on my 225 Verado and Ranger 2050. Get about 6100 RPM. I've run Rev 4s (19, 21), Tempest (19), and Enertia 20. The fastest is the Bravo 1 FS. The best handling is the Rev 4 19 followed by the Bravo. The Enertia was awful - no bite - it works best on an I/O - buried deep. The Tempest handling was not great nor was the hole shot. Overall, I like the Bravo - it carries a load like no tomorrow, decent hole shot, great cruising speed, good rough water handling, and the ability to free the hull for the best top speed.
