X2 two snaps on either side and two on the outside bottom of the windshield. Works great!

When we bought our Crestliner, we had a fabric one made and sent to us. I put the snaps in the sides and on the bottom of the windshield all by myself, I am not very mechanically inclined, and it works great and takes up almost no storage space. My father-in-law had a piece of wood that slid in brackets to block the air flow in his old boat and the only problem I saw was storing the wood and snagging pants or bare skin on the brackets. Nobody did on his boat, that I know of, but storing the wood was a really small problem. I believe either way would work fine for you.

When I had my custom travel cover built, I had one made at the same time. I think mine has 3 snaps on each side. It is the same material as the boat cover, red so it matches my interior. I think they charged $50.00 for it. It is great on long runs. It takes up almost no room. I would think this is a much, much, better option than a hard sheet of plastic that takes up lots of room, or a big chunk of plywood that could snag your carpet.

This suggestion is for Lund 1875 Crossover owners. The hatch for the rod locker will lift and conform perfectly with the slant of the windshield to block the wind. It is so perfect that I am sure Lund had this in mind when they designed the layout of the boat. The only thing that I add is the adjustable pole, for the boat cover, to keep the hatch from blowing down when I get around 43 mph.

I ordered a $95.00 option with my Lund. It's made from the same material as my top and snaps onto the left and right consoles.

I fold it up and store it in the glove box when not in use.

Works great and blocks almost 100% of the wind.

Default panel

this all sounds pretty technical- maybe we should have a rocket scientist study it for a couple of years.

I like a complete bow cover option for the aerodynamic effect. If you just block the opening you created a lot of wind resistance up against the flat wall of the console and the blocked opening.. If you put a bow cover on, you will greatly reduced the wind load while driving.
