How many out there run hr meters on the control counsels and actually use them for service intervals on there motors.

I use one for oil changes or what not. But,I change once a year anyway so not really needed. Its a small one that has a wire wrapped around one of the plug wires

I've got a cheapo tiny tac on order so I can monitor the hours and such on my new Merc 60 4s as I plan on trolling a lot during the summer months with it and want to keep an eye on the hours.

I have these all mercury monitor..... Gives hours, and bunch more info. Pretty nice and easy way to figure engine break in and 25 hour maintenance. Fuel consumption is right on.

the basic System Monitor can be had (new) for $185, the data cable is about $65-75.
