Default Walleyes in shallow weeds?

Need some help on this. Shallow lake , really weeds up in the summer . 25 feet at deepest point . Most of the lake is 4-10 . Water temp is 78 . Seems to be a huge bait hatch in the shallow weeds with the walleye there. Really hard to keep it off your line on cranks any ideas how to catch them ?

I would try a 1/4 oz beetle spin with the regular body removed and a swimbait body added (like a 3" Berkley ripple shad).

I just got back from Canada and we used some large Charlie Brewer slider grubs on their weedless hook. Worked good for bass, walleye and pike and was relatively weedless in comparison to other rigs,
