I'm no ice fisherman, but this just doesn't look right. Just got these from a friend on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage in northern WI.

Ouch !!!!!!!

There really is no such thing as "SAFE" ice.........especially when there is heavy snow cover.

Snow is an excellent insulator and many people will assume that after "a few" days of sub zero temps that there is safe ice.

Hope no one was hurt......

Carry a spud bar and check often; especially if its your first time on a new lake.
