Default Huron pier with a boat?

Does anyone move up and down the piers with a boat to catch eyes. I have never fished ther at night but this would seem like a good way to avoid the crowds. How Far out are the eyes in the lake now?

Thanks,
Todd

Been doing it for a few yrs. #1; 4 stroke or electric motor help to not spook feeding fish. Stay out of casting range of Pier caster. Depending on wind and current you can set up and drift along the pier casting 360 degrees from your boat not just toward the pier. If no 4 stroke or electric and Waves are pushing you around pick a spot and set anchor, still can fish more water from an anchored boat then from the rocks. Trolling in line boards are very productive . Just stay out of others way. Keep lits on & a spare battery, they run dn faster in the cold!

good advice, be sure to stay out far enough, some of the pier fishermen can get a little hostile at times. the west side is the best area to do this in. it is a very effective way to work the fish too. good luck and good fishin.
